I just got home from spending the whole day at the hospital today. My mother has had massive kidney failure along with a mild heart attack. She is in ICU now. She will be needing to start dialysis immediately 3x a week and also needs a heart catheterization to determine the extent to which her arteries are blocked so that the Drs can decide on a course of action. Please keep her in your prayers.

****UPDATE****

It's been a long week and a half....winds up my mom had a massive heart attack 1-2 weeks before she went into the hospital. How she was able to still get around just goes to show what a trooper my mom is. She has always been one to "suck" it up and not complain about things. This time it probably was not a good idea as we could have gotten her the care that she needed sooner.

She started kidney dialysis last week, which will need to be 3x a week and yesterday she had double bypass surgery. The doctor had also thought she would need a valve replacement but determined that was not needed during the surgery. She is now in ICU, still not yet breathing on her own but with good stable vitals. The doctor said the surgery went well but she will need to be monitored closely for the next few days.

Please keep her in your thoughts as she recovers from her surgery.

Sandra, you and your mom are in in my daily prayers. I know how hard is to have a family member sick. My dad went through 3 surgeries 2 days ago. He is doing fine, but will be in intensive care for a week.
