OMG! I got goosebumps just reading your post. What a beautiful story!
This is awesome! What an amazing happy ending! I would love to adopt one day. I just asked hubby the other night if he would be interested in being a foster parent one day.

My goodness why has it taken so long?
Anyway, how exciting for all of you all.

That's fantastic! I hope you had a wonderful time being there. Leslie, do you want to adopt me...and pay for all my scrappy stuff??
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
That is so awesome!! I love happy endings like that!

That was just incredible. It was more than that, but I don't have the words. Everything went through without a hitch and there wasn't a dry eye in the place, including the judge I think. The main reason it took so long is that the biological mom would start the proceedings to give up rights, but then back out and they would have to start over again. This little girl has been through so much, but she is a survivor. And a real sweetie too.
And to top it off, the adoptive dad told me that he really appreciated my DSs being there. (I had somehow forgotten that DS#2 was her classmate in K. DS#1 was her classmate last year in their 1st through 3rd grade class.) He said that my boys are 2 of the very few kids who have accepted her for who she is despite the problems she has had. That made me even more proud of them. I am just feeling so especially blessed right now.
ETA: Of course I'll be scrapping it!
