Glimmer Mist...
Hi ladies! I don't post here very often, but I figured you would all be the best to ask, so I hope you can help me!

I'm interested in getting some glimmer mist, BUT what I'm wanting is something that doesn't have dye in it. I want to use it with patterned papers, and I just want a bit of sparkle to it, but don't want to add an extra color.

Is there a glimmer mist like that? I went to my LSS and they had one called "Chalk" but it seemed really white, and they had sprayed it on a sheet of white cardstock so I just couldn't tell, lol. I've seen on a couple layouts here in the gallery one called "Pearl"... is this the one that will do what I want? Please help! They are a bit pricey and I don't want to buy one that I may not use, kwim?

Thanks for any help!

Yup, I'd go with Pearl. It's beautiful, and no color.

Re: Glimmer Mist...
I just made some and on my first batch, I didn't use enough paint, so all it did was leave a shimmer on my black cardstock. If you don't want a big bottle of a color that you might not use, try to get the stuff to make it and you can make any color you want!! I bought some Perfect Pearls by RangerInk, and some little spray bottles. Fill it two-thirds with water, add a little bit of Perfect Pearls (there is another brand too, I just can't think of it right now!!) Add a drop of paint or ink and shake it up and spray! You probably could try with just water and see what that looks like too.

Yep, the pearl for sure. The Iridescent Gold is really sheer too...just a bit of gold shimmer instead of the white shimmer.

Re: Glimmer Mist...
I have irridescent gold and it does exactly what you want. This past weekend at a crop I saw marshmellow for the same time and it will do it, too. I have Bronze and using it on browns or blacks it won't change the color but give you a bronze color glimmer.

In fact the folks at the crop all tried my irridescent gold glimmer mist and loved it. I heard over and over....'I have to get some of this!' I love love to alter flowers using the gold. I'll add a little of the Clearsnap Cat's Eye color to a flower and immediately spray the gold glimmer mist and it will bleed the ink into a beautiful color over the flower.
