To scrappininAK: The layout you have posted is beautiful. So simple to do and so elegant and the picture is not lost in the frill. Hope you don't mind if I borrow it!

LOL... that's me! I've got baskets and baskets of embellishments just patiently waiting their turn I did pick one out and I'm almost done with my layout!

Gorgeous!

I need to do this more often. I just found a tote with my purchases from CKC 2008 with products in bags with receipts that I apparently had forgotten about. I need to use my stuff before I buy more. Yeah, that'll happen.
Hmmm.....this just might get the scrap flow back! cause, I lost it somewhere along the way

Very cute LO so far ladies! I know that I have a ton of stuff I could go through. I am gonna pass on this one though. I am excited to actually be working on some of the other May challenges.

Here is my entry. I posted a picture of my embellishment (the Prima flowers) in the gallery.
"That's what 1940's girls are made of. Miss Bernita Carlson lived with my great grandparents for 3 years when her mother died during WWII. She was like their own child."
I liked the Prima flowers so much I recreated them with Prima papers. The larger flowers in the bottom right corner are handmade. All 4 small flowers are from the Prima package (2 of them are Glimmer Misted to change the color). The tutorial for the flowers is on my blog.
I stamped clear acetate circles with images and layered them with Prima journal chipboard pieces. Glimmer Misted Grungeboard hinges with rhinestone brad rivets appear to hold the paper open and reveal the photos.

Last night I finally took a picture of the embellishment I thought of for this contest...have had the thing for 4 years! Lucky to even find it! Now, of course, I am not finding the photo right off...I suppose I will end up reprinting it. I am so glad for a long weekend ahead...I have been wanting to do this so bad and am going to stay up real late if I need to, to get it done. I love the gorgeous layouts done so far - great job everyone!
I too have taken a picture of the product that I plan on using for this. I have been holding on to it for over a year. I am sure that I could find some older items, but at least I have the prints that will work and I don't have to look for pictures. Is it 5 o'clock on Friday yet? I am so looking for to a long weekend. I hope that I get plently of hours to work on my last few challenges before Monday.

It's Friday and almost 11 am - it's going to be a LONG day!! I SO want to be home working on this project...even if the sun is shining and it is absolutely gorgeous out. No doubt people think I am crazy holing up in a basement on a gorgeous day - we scrappers have such a wonderful sickness! (LOL)
Finally!! We're having another very hot day - in the 90s!! My excuse to avoid the garden planting - at least until this evening. Finished my LO, centered around an old, old, and small embellishment. I don't even remember who makes those little acrylic/glass vials
