You will need pop dots for this flower and pattern paper.
I started with hearts. You can use any size you like...I used aMartha Stewart punchto make mine.
You need 8 to make a flower....I have more than that because I made a few extra things......

The next step is to fold each heart in half.

then place a pop dot inside each folded heart.

Press them to close. Then cut a small piece of scrap paper to adhere your petals to. I always like to do this so that I have a free standing flower first. That way I can place it anywhere I want on my layout and move it around as needed. If you know exactly where you want your flower, you can adhere it directly to your page if you chose.

I use liquid adhesive at this point and place my first petal.

Then continue to adhere all the way around with the open edge facing the folded edge.

Your completed flower will look like this.

You can then use whatever embellishment you like as a flower center.
Here is my completed layout.

I used this same folded heart technique to made a half flower as an embellishment on the side of my title block. I also used the same hearts to make the butterfly embellishment.
I hope you have enjoyed this flower. Remember if you give it a try to upload it to this thread and there may be some points in it for you.
