I washed my dd's brand new iPod that I got her for Christmas this past year. I usually am very good at checking pockets but must have missed her sweatshirt. Sadly, this happened about two weeks after Christmas. So, I got on line and ordered her another one. Unfortunately the old one never did work . .. we were hopeful that after some time it would work. I just checked it yesterday and still no dice. . ..
I once washed and dried "Voltron - Defender of the Universe". With 2 boys, I just got used to pulling odd stuff out of the washer and dryer; I checked pockets before washing, so I think the bad fairies threw the stuff in after I started the washer and left.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
Would have to be a screwdriver.
omg, LOL @ the stingray tooth, cat, and kid too?!! whoa
i left a credit card in an inside jacket once and it came out
bent & faded, but it still worked... then, one time, one of
those disposable lighter (i love lighting candles) and i am
just so glad it didn't start a fire in the dryer whoopsy!

Either a tampon in a paper wrapper or the screw drive that got stuck in one of the holes and almost broke the washer. Also crayons, chapstick, rocks, and kids beads.

Only the regular things here...probably helps not having kids to worry about. However I always have to check DH's pockets because if there is going to be something it is in his pockets!

paper, chapstick, change, keys, screws, kid toys, primas(they come out clean and pretty), nail clippers, sea shells, bracelets, earrings, barbells, all kinds of things. Never electronics.
I almost always catch everything before it goes in the dryer. So no melted chapstick issues.

Just the other day I found one sandal highheel shoe. I am very good about empting my pockets when I take off my clothes so I never check the pockets. But, How in the world did my shoe get in the wash? It is way too big (because I have a huge mouth for it to go in) to fit in my pocket. LOL

that happened to me as a kid. We were playing hide and seek and I jumped the dryer. But it was one of the old ones, that if you didn't turn it off, and you shut the door it goes. Well my grandmother had the door open but didn't turn it off, so when I jumped in and shut the door, it started. Luckily my grandmother was near by and heard me being dried and ran and opened the door. Needless to say, I was very very dizzy.
omg that sounds terrible! really scary!
I am forever finding chapstick in the washer.
A pinecone... to this day, still have no idea how it got into the wash. Probably the "sock fairy" bringing me something back to replace the socks they take.. :P

I think it was as a kid. but now I find it kind of funny. Weird stuff happens to me. Once my grandmothers pull out bed malfunctioned and me and the cat ended up stuck in it. LOL
