The other day I was doing a double shift at work and my BF took some laundry out to the washer for me. The next day I reached into my pocket for something and suddenly remembered that I forgot to take something out of my pocket the night before. I sent him a text to check the washer to see if there was a stingray tooth in there. I mean, I was gonna scrap it! *shrug* He's still laughing at me. Oops! LOL
my bottle of Tide! I poured the stuff in, walked out into the garage to get something---I heard a noise while I was in the garage but thought it was the dog because I did not see anything. Did not even look when I closed the lid but boy did it make a LOT of noise when the spin cycle came around. Geessshh.
LOL @ the tooth!

A disposable diaper. Ds likes to "help" put laundry in the basket. He didn't understand that his undies aren't washable & I didn't catch it when thowing the load in.

LOL! good thing the tide bottle was closed yikes.. imagine that mess!
oh and chapstick.. I did that once with a new just opened one.. it got to the dryer too... but the stuff inside was gone... I wasn't more than 13 and so confused as to where it could have gone since the cap was still on!

A salamander. Sadly, it didn't survive the spin cycle. No, it was NOT a pet, thankfully.

I washed a stink bug. Those things are all over my house and it must have gotten in the clothes pile. No loss...I HATE those things.

with my girls you never know what you may find...plastic easter eggs, a whole pckg of gum, screws, bolts, last week was a shampoo bottle.....somebody "insert I did not do it here...must have been the cat" picked up the dirty towels from the bathroom and threw the shampoo and conditioner battles in the wash with them....did you not hear them, or feel them???????
My husbands mp3 player, i was shocked it survived! well I am sure the tooth got extra clean lol
Tape with dispenser.... though I think little hands were the reason it ended up in the washing machine to begin with.
Find my books here. See the mom (crafting, cooking, organizing, and homeschooling) side of me here. {Under construction}

The only time we end up with weird things in the laundry is when my niece and nephews visit. Apparently they like to throw random things into my dd's laundry hamper. We ended up washing a bunny that had a soundbox in it and said "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" when they visited a couple Thanksgivings ago, and of course the soundbox quit working. This time I actually noticed a few wierd things while I switching the clothes over and took them out before we ended up with melted plastic all over the inside of our dryer. There was a plastic fairy in there and I don't remember what else.
My 3 year old has discoverd the joy of opening the dryer and putting toys in. I now have to get into the habbit of checking for extras there.ajkulig wrote:Tape with dispenser.... though I think little hands were the reason it ended up in the washing machine to begin with.

I think we've washed all the normal things - crayons, pens, keys, money, wallets, gift cards, gum, small toys, diapers, tampons, and probably more.
The best has got to be a screwdriver. I learned to always double and triple check dh's pockets! Normally I only find paper towels and rags. Occasionally screws, bolts, washers, but the screwdriver was the worst!
