Good evening, ladies! Hope you are all having a fabulous time! I am editing my original post and adding the class instructions here. Here is what we will be creating this evening:
This is my first ever class so please bear with me and if you don't understand something, please ask. I'll try to keep up but I'm not the world's best typist. lol. I use Photoshop 7, so keep that in mind as we go through the digital portion of the project.
So since I've been into the whole canvas thing lately, I thought I'd try to do a class using a digi kit and a canvas. AND since we are all weary of Winter I decided to go with SPRING! Eventually, I will make a canvas for each of the seasons and hang them in a group on my wall.
You will need this kit from the ACOT shop:

You will also need:
a favorite digital photo that says spring to you
pink acrylic paint (I used Delta "Think Pink")
an 8X8 artist canvas (I purchased a set of 6 at Hobby Lobby for about $7)
matt photo paper (I use Staples store brand),
modpodge
a very large brush
a paper plate
assorted ribbon, flowers, bling and brads (RAID YOUR STASH!!!!!) to match the kit
and an edge punch. I used the EK Success notebook paper edge punch but I don't see it in the shop. You can choose any border punch you like, though.
I'll be back tonight with a LITTLE SNEAKY PEEK!!!!
last night was CRAZY busy but here's the peek I promised

this sounds like fun - can't wait for the sneak peek
Seriously Becky, I'm a so stoked that you are doing a hybrid class! This is going to be awesome. I promise to make one when I get back next week!
Oh I can't wait to see a sneaky peak because I am so curious about this. I have an idea of something I want to do for my wall, but I have no idea how to do it....so maybe this class will be just the thing!!! Can't wait

I NEED SA - Scrappers Anonymous!!!
Wow - this sounds awesome! I don't have the right sized canvas, but I have everything else.
Oh my...this looks awesome. I wish I knew this on Monday, Michaels had canvas on sale and I was looking at them because I have been interested in trying a project with canvas, but of course, I didn't buy them. When will the class be? If I don't get my canvas by then I will need to come back to the class another time. Can't wait for the sneak peek!
Sounds like fun! I could definitely use some Springtime around here!
oooh, can't wait for that sneak peek.

Step 1:
If you haven't already, you will need to open the Fresh as Spring Kit!
Here we go:
·Find your favorite Spring Photo and resize it to 300pixels/inch and 3 inches wide by 4 inches high.
1. Open Fresh As Spring PP 15 located in the pp2 folder
2. Make a duplicate image of the paper. Close the original.
3. Resize pp15 by clicking on image then drop down to size and turn of the constrain and enter 5 inches wide by 6 inches high.
4. Open the photo you have chosen and select all then edit copy
5. Click on pp15 and click edit paste.
you should now have something like this (only with your own photo)
