Welcome to the board! I live in Port Austin, Mi. and hate the cold too! Especially living off the water - and we just returned today from balmy California - It was 80 there on Tuesday - it sure was hard leaving there!

I thought I replied to this post earlier, but obviously I did something wrong so I'll try again.

I live in Midland, but have several connections to others who commented. My oldest daughter lives in E. Lansing. She graduated from State last year, and is now doing her student teaching. (I'm a math teacher, and I'm really proud of her!!!)

My parents are from Wisconsin, (northern) where I visited as a kid every summer and every Christmas. Now THEY got a lot of snow! LOL! Traveled through UP to get there. Again with the snow and cold.

My nephew lives in upper Michigan, (Boyne City) and we visit every winter to go to the water park.

Funny that I had one of you in my classes at Peddler! I loved that place, and haven't visited in too long. I miss it. The truth is, I have taken quite a break from scrapping for some time now. I did deadline work, and that's it. I spent the last two years working on improving my photography skills. Now I've gotten the itch to scrap FOR ME again. In taking the break, I feel I have let some memories of my other daughter who is 7 slip by. Not acceptable. So here I am! LOL!

Again, thanks for the warm welcome. I've been looking for an online community to hang at since the last one I spent time at closed. Looks like this is a great place to be!
