Since there are many new faces here, I thought I'd try to get to know a little more about some of you! If you work, what is your occupation? If you used to work, what was your former occupation?
I am a certified professional Paralegal. I retired at the ripe old age of 28 to be a SAHM. I keep my continuing education credits up so that I can go back one day.
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Oh, and SAHM and Housewife totally qualify as occupations . . . the most underpaid there are!

I'm a sahm. I do random jobs on the side when needed. With the moving and such its hard to maintain a steady job beyond the kids. Plus my kids are still rather young. When they are older maybe I'll get another job. I never could figure out what I really wanted to be though.
I'm a photographer, part-time recreation instructor and mom of 2 little monsters girls, ages 3 & 5. It's a busy life. But I love it.
I am an access administrator with an option to become a recession stripper.
Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
I "retired" from teaching when my 8 yo was born and was a SAHM for 7 yrs before becoming a para in DSs' school library. I am also working on masters degrees in reading and school library media. Yes, SAHM is the most underpaid job monetarily, but the best one. Nothing can replace those years.

I work in medical records at a hospital

I work part time as a dental hygienist. Love the part time thing! I love being home with my 5 & 7 year olds but also love the break from them too!

Good idea for a post. Smart idea for you to keep up on training in case you want to go back to your prior occupation!

I am a Customs Broker, but retired when I had my 2nd. Now they are getting older, and our finances tell me to get my arsch out there and there is not a lot of importing around where we live. So I'm thinking about taking some book keeping classes.
I am a retired teacher and now stay home to work in my house, take care of the grandchildren, make jewelry, scrapbook, and do gardening. For about 8 weeks each year, I work for my sister as a recptionist in a tax firm. I love it because I get to see many people I know and lots of my former students. I

I am a retired piano teacher. However, I do have 4 students that will continue with me until they graduate h.s., so I'll keep teaching them until that time. I enjoy retirement because it gives me time to scrap, paint, and practice my piano.
Mary Love is all around you.

I was a SAHM until my children were out of school. I am now the Supervisor of Telephone Operators at a VA Hospital. I feel like I live at this place. I have the best of worlds, with being able to stay at home now working.
Ain't no money in the pole these days, I'm afraid... I made just $100 bucks last Saturday, but Diamond says it's because of the New Year. Apparently, some men resolve to spend less money. Who knew?nene wrote:I am an access administrator with an option to become a recession stripper.
