and it was CRAZY!! I mean, I knew there would be people there, but man! We got there around 11:15 and the line already wrapped around the store. Glad i brought a batallion of cousins with me, we got in, everyone had their assigned thing to find and one person got in line, we got everything except one thing, spent $79 saved $89 and got out. no zhu zhu hamster, but oh well.

I have always gone out on black friday but never been in that kind of craziness, it was insane! I am totally making a scrapbook page out of it!

I wanted one thing at TRU, so I went at 9:00, grabbed it, got in line & was back in my car by 9:20. Not bad!

I have a zhu zhu pet hamster. Grey, I bought in on ebay. However, I did pay $20 bucks for it. I'm willing to sell it to you if you want. It was an extra one I got. I was going to put it up on Ebay . . . pm me if you want it.

I was Toys r Us as well, and it was crazy! The police were there letting people in the doors. I was there at way before 12:00 but it was 1:50 before I got inside because it was so crowded. The lines went through the store. I didn't find what I was looking for there. I went to Wal- Mart looking for the expression and I got one but I also got a jammed finger, scratch on my cheek, wrist, back of my hand, and a cut on the side of my finger and I got a red expression! I know the scratch on my cheek came from a box corner hitting me in the face from someone reaching for one over the top of my head the other injures I never felt. I wanted the black but I wasn't going to fight with anybody over it! Oh, and I lost my shoe, it was nuts! They only had 16 and I was 7 in order to get one, at 5:00 people came from behind pushing and shoving over the top of you. I was pushed on top of it, so I made sure I came out with it. I have never had a problem getting something on Black Friday like that. It kind of ruins your morning, I was ready to go! I like getting up early and getting out not staying up all night like last night. I won't do that next year. I'm off to bed, I think, I really need to go to Hobby Lobby to get a doll house though. Has anyone ever put one of HL's houses together?

Wow - you certainly know how to work a crowd. LOL I should've brought you with me to Staples this morning. It was a mad house!!! As luck would have it, they only had two registers open. So dumb. But, I did get two 8GB compact flash cards for only $19.99 each (normally $60 each). So I feel like I got a great deal and it was worth it to stand in that long line.

We went to toys r us, picked the perfect store, got there at 11 and was in line for an hour, was one of the first 50 they let in and got everything we wanted some hot wheel play set things for my brother and zhu zhu hamster with some accessories. My friend went to another store at around the same time and they had a line around the building.

hi everyone,
i don't enjoy all that madness either. but i went out this morning to Target, the line wrapped at least half way around the building. i did end up getting the steam mop i was after, but the line for electronic games was just too much. i got in and got out in less than an hour. i thought that was pretty good.



the best thing was i stopped at DD's on the way home to get some bagels and donuts. there was a group of ladies there, looked like moms and daughters - they were all wearing blue sweatshirts that said Black Friday Divas. they said they were taking a break. they had one of the workers take a picture. it looked like they were having an awesome time.

Yeah.. If your gonna do Black Friday.. Got to arrive at places early and wait.. I know that's crazy..but if you do.. You will not have to deal with as much craziness/etc. Walmart for me was super easy.. Course I live in a smaller town.. I also got there at 9:30 pm last night.. No one was waiting for an cricut expression at that time.. several hours later we were allowed to put stuff in our carts that wasn't the ticket item things.. I was out of Walmart by 5:15 am or so.. We got in the lines before 5am to wait.. Tiring but worth it. My sis was at Toys R Us by 10pm last night .She was 8th in line.. Then her hubby Jim was in line at Best Buy..He was 40th.. so we all had our plans/etc.. It worked out really well. Only didn't get one thing.

Our newest Thanksgiving day tradition is to cruise past Best Buy and see how many people are camping out in line already. About 10:30 pm, there were about 8 tents set up on the sidewalk, and lots of people with their chairs and umbrellas (rainy night around here) waiting for the 5am opening. But the HUGE surprise was the line at ToysRUs!! It snaked the length of the front of the building, around the side, and was curving around the parking lot. My paper didn't come with a ToysRUs ad, so I still am not quite sure what the draw was other than perhaps people looking for the zhu-zhu pets. I"m sorry... I love a bargain, but I so totally am NOT willing to stand in line like that! The only place I went shopping today was my LSS.... got some bargains there! lol

That's so funny! We drove past Best Buy about an hour before you & saw that line- when we were on our way out of town around 10am, there were already tents there on Thanksgiving morning!
Did you go to Scrapbook Peddler? I never made it there today. I kinda wanted to check out the Sizzix sale. I think it still goes tomorrow, too, though.

At the Best Buy here we had people that camped out. But the campers were drunk I guess. Glad I wasn't there that early to see it!!

On our way home last night from spending Thanksgiving out of town, we passed Best Buy and Toys R Us around 7pm, and there were already lines, and tents set up. We didn't shop today. We put up our tree and lights, and decorated the house instead.
