Has their Christmas tree up?
I guess this thread is the total opposite of the "Bah Humbug" thread!
OCD is not an adjective. It is not a personality quirk. It is not synonymous with being organized. It is a complex and debilitating mental health illness that affects people of all ages and walks of life, and is defined by the presence of unwanted, intrusive thoughts and repetitive actions. I am an OCD warrior and I fight for my son.
Not yet. I'll probably work on that the first weekend in Dec.

Your tree is up already?
I hate doing mine. Dragging it out of the storage closet, and my place is so tiny I have to rearrange everything to put the tree up and then we're smooshed even more like sardines in here.
Well....let's see it then. Is it decorated already?

On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
Has to be up by my birthday so I'm looking at getting our tree the 12th.
CHEERS~~
Whole house is decorated . . . inside and out (although I won't turn the outside lights on until after Thursday). Sadly, I can't show you because . . . brace yourself . . . I don't own a digital camera.

Well now we know what you're asking Santa for. LOL!

DH is working on it as we speak, I think. I'm @ work and he said he thought he might get started on it. It will all be done by this weekend regardless!

Not yet... My son asked me a couple of weeks ago when we'd put it up and I told him after Disney, implying the first week of December. He repeated that to my husband, who freaked, because he thought I had meant last week!

No, not yet....

The one in my bedroom never comes DOWN!
We do a live tree in the living room so it will go up the day after Thanksgiving. Each of my girls also has a tree in their bedrooms and I'm thinking of putting one in the kitchen this year. We're going to be decorating like MAD this weekend!!!!!

I do! (Don't hate me Tracy!)
In my defense, Thanksgiving was Oct 12th here in Canada so one holiday has nothing to do with the next.
I actually decorate over the course of two weeks or so. I find it enjoyable to do a bit here and there and the kids like it too. We put the tree up one day, the lights on it the next, some decorations the third day and finished up with the tree on day 4. My ds was excited to see what we would do the next day.
This Thursday or Friday, my dh is going to put out the Christmas village with the kids.
Tracy, you have a little people village? My kids love little people!

Nope! I won't be at home from the 12th through the end of the month, I'll be staying with my dd for a few days until her wedding and then with my parents, so I didn't see any reason to put it up.

I plan on doing mine tomorrow night (Wednesday) - we have to re-arrange because we don't have room and that didn't work out so I'll be putting it where dh suggested even though I know it's going to be too cramped and just a matter of time before he kicks it when he puts the recliner back.
I would have done it sooner but dh has been off for 3 days and cleaning up after he 'helps' and cooks takes too much of my time and energy.

the living rm tree and decorations will go up on Saturday. The other stuff will take a week.

We wont buy one until a couple of weeks til Christmas. I don't like that funky smell they start giving off when the tree dries out, and the water left at the bottom of the tree starts smelling. lol
I refuse to start before Thanksgiving. I think we'll get a real tree this year - we've had a 42" tabletop thing for the last 5 year because the house is so small. Getting rid of the aquarium has made a bit of room. Then I decorate the mantle with garland or some such - and that's it. I like to put lights around the bedroom windows, but it isn't a necessity. So it takes about 30 minutes to do it all if we use the fake tree again!
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
