I am happy for you. Our tigers won today, but they did not have a great year. Still they are my team.
Woohoo!!!

OK - I know this sounds stupid, but there you have it: is the Rose Bowl on Thanksgiving or New Year's?
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.
Thanksgiving weekend is usually the last weekend of college ball! Bowls start during the week between Christmas and New Years. Rose bowl is New Year's Day!
Not at all stupid if you aren't a football fan, Jean.
The Rose Bowl is called the Granddaddy of them all (all the bowl games) and it was typically a Pac 10 vs. Big 10 conference game, with the winner of each conference facing off on New Year's Day. Since they started the BCS (Bowl Championship Series), the Rose Bowl has been a rotating host of the National Championship Game, so it isn't always Pac 10 vs. Big 10. The Buckeyes haven't been there in ages, because they keep getting ranked high enough to be in one of the other BCS games, but this year they have won the Big 10 (at least a share of it, until they beat Michigan next week), and they beat Iowa, who is the other team at the top of the conference, so we get to go to the Rose Bowl, which is not hosting the National Championship this year. We will probably play Oregon, unless some other stuff happens next week.
Big excitement here in Buckeye Country, though!
