I used an onion mesh bag to add the paint to the background. I used the same mesh to layer in the flowers and all of the embellishmets were either broken o left over from other projects. Except the journaling block and button. I left the journaling for my daughter to complete.

I used Dove wrappers for the two big flowers. Sadly, I had to eat the candy in order to get the wrappers.

Took all of a minute for me to figure out what to use! I'll also search the closet of no return for something to recycle. But the first items are Coca-Cola Bottle Caps. Wondering where I get Coca Cola in glass bottles with real caps......well of course I live in a border state. Great little jewel that is imported and tastes oh so good!
hmmmmmm........is that why it's crooked?? LOL
j/k! Great layout and challenge Pam!

For mine, I used the logo off DH's lounge pants!

Thinking in terms of digital...
I have the ticket from the Sr's National Diving Competition. If I scanned it and made it into a digi element and/or used it as a hybrid element on the page, would that count? Would just using it as the digi element count? I'm actually trying to eliminate paper altogether in true "green" form.
Let me know - I'll get started either way.
That would be great for the challenge.

Great ideas so far ladies. The mesh bag is genius and I love the PJ pants logo. Awesome guys.
Some other ideas- a cardboard box. Tear off the top layer and it is corrugated. You can stamp with it or use it on the page. Milk jugs- cut it apart and use your diecut machine. I saved the top of a package of strawberries to do the exact same thing with. I know I have fabric laying around, dh has hardware, and my dd's room would be a treasure trove of things to recycle.
Use what you have around the house for this LO. Go green. Save our planet and some cold, hard cash with this challenge.
I will check in in the morning and see if there are any other ?s.
DIGI- another idea I had for digi girls would be to recolor an element/paper/embellishment to match your page. You could make your own embellie by scanning something or combining different elements from different kits to make your own unique embellishment or page item. I am a digi newbie so I am sure there are TONS of other ways to play along and recycle something.

I used and old carton that came inside one of my albums (behind the picture); also some acrylic house paint from our last project at home, which I applied to the cardstock with some used bubble wrap; and at the bottom the little round fence like was done by some torn used scrap papers that I ussually refuse to throw away.

Whoo-Hoo! I had no clue what I wanted to do on this one....then started re-reading the instructions.
This...... (a piece of tag board from an ACOT order I got in yesterday)
Plus a bunch of pieces from here (not nearly enough to make it go away - but I hate throwing away my scraps)....
Were put together to create this. I usually don't layer this much, but I appreciate that the challenge is taking me outside of my box. Thanks for the nudge!
