Well, it's easier if you digi scrap, lol! Just put her on your lap. 
It's harder if you have to get up to get supplies though. But the lap thing also works very well for playing crop games... I know from experience (they're outside right now or I'd be facing the same issue!).
She's a pretty problem though! (And I bet she knows it!)

Oh my goodness--I had two on my table like that earlier! They love to lay right in my little work area on the table--even though I have tons of cat pillows, blankets etc scattered throughout the room!

Yeah I'm surprised mine hasn't done that yet! My dad's pressure washing outside, so I think mines in hiding. But now that he's stopped, I'm sure JJ will make himself present on top of my papers!
Don't worry it can be done.. just shift their body weight to one side, pet them, scrap, pet, scrap, and then they'll just get annoyed and leave!

you can even tie the ribbon around her tail (not too tight)...she will have a blast w/ that..and don't worry, they can tug it off!
