DS#1 has been healthy all summer. Not even a sniffle. This afternoon he suddenly ran a fever of 103.2. Tomorrow is supposed to be my first day back to work at school with my new boss and new principal.

That is such a bummer!! We can not get well here, what comes around goes around, and comes around again. We were all sick last week mild colds and runny noses, and bow guess what? It's back again only worse this week! I have 4 snotty kids!! I hope your DS gets better soon!

Good Grief! Just like a kid, you're right! I hope it's something he gets over quickly and feels a whole lot better tomorrow so you won't be worrying about him!

Thank you for your many well-wishes. He is still running a good fever. It went up to 104.2 today when the ibuprofen wore off and once it was 103.9 an hour after he had a dose. A lukewarm shower brought it down. It is really strange because fever is his only symptom. Absolutely nothing else.
BTW, I seem to have given the impression that I have a new job. It is actually the same job I had last school year working on DSs' school library, but the media specialist and principal are both new.
