Re: Breast feeding doll...
Definitely weird, IMO. I wouldn't get one for a daughter or niece or whatever! Yuck! Let kids be kids, for Pete's Sake.
I wonder, sometimes, if we ever give God a headache.

Re: Breast feeding doll...
grrr........

I breastfed both my girls so it was normal for me to see my kids pick up a doll & pretend to nurse it. But a suckling doll is taking it a bit too far. Some will look at it as an extention of the crying baby, talking baby, cooing baby, whinnying horse.....Hopefully people that buy it have a very good reason because I don't.

This is really going a bit far... that is something they need to know when they are ready to have a baby....it's an adult thing.. not for kids to have going on.

Yeah... I think it is not age appropriate. Kids do pretend to BF their baby dolls if they have seen it, but "flower breasts" and suckling? No way....

Kay I am breastfeeding but still think that doll is waaayyyy over the top. Kind of ew factor. Although I am sure women who are more hardcore than me would say that "Hey they have babies that drink from bottles and that is sending a bad message."

I think that is so wrong....we dont need to start teaching girls the importance of breast feeding at that young of age....

Yeah, I heard about this on the radio the other day, and I agreed with every person that called in and said that is was not appropriate and that kids should get to be kids! I mean playing with baby dolls is one thing, but having a doll that actually suckles to a "breast" you strap on is another!

Re: Breast feeding doll...
On one hand it seems weird to market this. As a breast feeding mother, I remember my 3 year old mimicking me, (even though I was covered with a blanket) she would pull up her shirt and put the baby to her chest, I would say whatcha doing, she would say feeding baby like mama. So in that context it was sweet and innocent. They dont need a market for this, toddlers in homes that breastfeed mimick maternal nurturing anyways.

the daisy thing does seem a bit creepy.
Just an added thought- can you see the schools adopting this for the "baby think it over" project, lol to imagine High school football players wearing daisys during school and letting the baby suckle... Im laughing at just thinking about this. Here where we live both boy and girls carry the doll as part of a class.
