 Probably the Smoky Mountains and/or a rushing mountain river.  A lighthouse would be great because I love them too (and of course that would go with the ocean!).  I have a small collection of lighthouse memorabilia.

 I'd be looking out on small lake surrounded by pine trees with talls mountains in the background.  That would be my perfect description of peace!

I would really like to live on a mountain, so when I look out the living room window I can see into the valley.

 I love my view now - lake and mountains!
In the middle of winter though, I'd love to see palm trees, beach and ocean.

 Assuming I live on a mountian I would love to look down over the fields and see a stream flowing

 My ideal view would be over the ocean (no hurricanes, thank you very much) where from my deck I could get the early morning sunrise and the evening sunset.  And in the view would include a lighthouse.

I, too, have been fascinated with lighthouses - I collect them, I visit ones nearby when we are on vacation.

 Funny story...long ago and far away when I was in my 30s, a girl friend and I would spend a week at my lake house (no kids, no hubby).  She was single and there was a roofer working on a house nearby.  He was built and bronzed and we both sat on the dock drooling!  Finally, she asked him over for a beer and, when he walked up to her, he smiled and....


had no front teeth...top or bottoms! OMG  Sure wish I'd taken a picture of her face.  So much for hunky construction workers and fantasies for her. lol

 I would love a view of the beach. Like a really close beach that I could walk out my (french) bedroom doors and walk right down to the sand.........ahhh......love the beach!
