I'm going to the state capital in Austin today to lobby for my dogs rights to be my dogs. I've got to leave in a little bit, so no time to start Dognesday before I go. So Dognesday will have to be tonight unless Steph wants to start it.
Why do you have to lobby for your dogs to be your dogs? I don't get it.

We'll miss you, but be safe and we'll see you tonight.

Good Luck - and I'd love to hear the story of why you have to go!
Take care. Safe journey. Good luck with your cause.

Well, okay, but hurry back! We miss the doggies when you're not here! Oh, and we miss you too !
I'm back, but it's late and my arms are really hurting. It might wind up being a Dogurday.
With regards to my lobbying, I was lobbying for my dogs to continue to be my dogs and live in the lifestyle to which they are accustomed. There are currently several laws that have been introduced in my state (and other states, too) that would affect my dogs. For example, my dogs like having a doggie door to go outside to my fenced in back yard when I am not home. One of the pending bills would make that illegal.

Wow. That sucks. I know they passed a "leash law" in Kentucky a couple years ago. It's ridiculous. Our local Scottie Club has been working with AKC to get it changed. Leashes can't be longer then 4ft and you have to license your dogs and it costs more if they're not spayed or nutered. And all that fun stuff making it harder on those of us who njoy our pets and show pets. Good luck!AnnOminous wrote: I'm back, but it's late and my arms are really hurting. It's going to have to be a Dogurday folks. I'm just hurting too much. I've taken 3 ibuprofens and I'm crawling into bed!!! I think I'm going to be putting on some of those heat wrap thingies, too. I've got so many aches, I feel very old!!!
Oh dear, sorry to hear about your aches and pains. Hope the meds ease the hurting and that you will be able to get a good night's rest. Don't worry about us and the Dognesday. You take care of yourself!AnnOminous wrote: It's going to have to be a Dogurday folks. I'm just hurting too much. I've taken 3 ibuprofens and I'm crawling into bed!!! Sounds like you had a long hard day. Hope you are able to get some rest and feel better tomorrow. You can catch us up on how things went in Austin. The whole dog door thing is crazy. What are those people thinking? I don't see what they expect to be accomplished by that type of legislation. My daughter lives in Austin and they have a leash law. She can't even take her dog outside of her apartment unless it's on a leash. Not even for a few minutes to take the trash out.
Welcome back!! Just saw your post now....but I gotta say I am looking forward to Dogurday!
wow, are they trying to make having a dog illegal too?
Life is not measured by the breaths you take
but by the moments that take your breath away.

Feel better Ann! ((((hugs))))
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
