Question of the day 3/27
Since we were on the subject of nails---are you a nail biter???

My nails are awful and always have been because I am a biter...I have tried everything out there to stop..it has gotten better. I actually have nails now...but they will never be long and pretty

Re: Question of the day 3/27
I m not a nail biter, but my nails are flimsy, weak and brittle.  So, the only time they are pretty is when I pay big $$$ to get acrylics put on.  I did that for five years and my nails were lovely then.  I decided that I wanted to go to Europe and the money going to buy my pretty nails now takes me to Europe. Priorities.

Not really a nail biter.  but if I have a catch in one, I will bite it off.  Does that count as a nail biter?

Bit them for years ever since I was a kid.  Haven't bitten them since I quit smoking about 11 years ago...hmmmmmmmm? lol (I did start smoking when I was 15 but had bitten them long before that .  Have no clue how or why I stopped.

Re: Question of the day 3/27
I am totally a nail biter, and I hate it! The only times I have been able to quit were when I was pregnant for all 3 kids. My nails were growing out of control, and they were nice and strong, so I never thought about biting them. As soon as each were born, I resorted back to my biting. I have been biting since I was quite little, and unfortunately both my girls are biters, even though I keep telling them to stop so they can have pretty nails. However that is quite difficult since I don't practice what I am preaching:)

Re: Question of the day 3/27
Sadly, yes, I am a biter and hate it as much as the rest of you! I'll get one to grow at least beyond my fingertip, then dadgumit, next thing I know, I've pulled at the least bit of a rough spot and off comes that nail. It seems I'm constantly "feeling" the edges and hate any bit of broken area. I'm thinking maybe I need to keep them filed nice and smooth, but have not been too good at that. So, I hate my fingers! I did have some acrylics put on for a short period and they made me feel so good but then I started nursing school and off the had to come.

I don't bit them with my teeth, but I do peel them off. Right now the are short, not really bad, still a little white on the tips but short.

I can grow them long and pretty and keep them like that for years, but I always go back to peeling them.

No, never. I have nice hands and would love to grow my nails out. If they ever do grow, they are so flimsy that they break right away.

I am a nail bitter!   will never have long nails.  That's why I can only stick to pedicures...I can't bite those!

I used to be a nail biter, but I guess I kind of grew out of it.  Mostly now I don't bite at all, but sometimes I'll chew off a hang nail or something if it's bugging me and I'm not near the scissors.

Only when I am very nervors do I bite my nails. My nails break very easy. Never been strong, maybe the house work and dish water. :winkb:
I have tried lots of things to get them stronger, but no luck.

Re: Question of the day 3/27
I was a nail biter up until I was about 13 or 14.  There was a woman in our church that I totally idolized.  She was beautiful, sang like an angel, and had the most beautiful hands.  She was my mentor in choir and I vowed that I wanted to be just like Jackie.  I never bit my nails again.

I don't bite my nails but I still never seem to be able to grow them long because I am always breaking them.  LOL!!  I'm okay with that because goat poop under the nails would be nasty!  :winkb:

Re: Question of the day 3/27
Not really.  I hate chewed nails and the ONLY time I will do it is when one is chipped or ripped then I will chew it until I can get home to fix it for real.
