It was mentioned that newbies to scrapbooking and to the ACOT boards don't know some of the lingo that they "hear" on here. So I'm starting a post that anyone can contribute to, that explains terms & definitions for either the Message Board or Scrapbooking. If you're a newbie with a question about a term, post here too. We won't know that you don't know if you don't ask. (If that made any sense...) THANKS!!

Layout- A completed scrapbook page
LSS- Local Scrapbook Store
Embellishment- Anything extra added to a layout or project aside from papers & photos.
PP- Patterned Paper
Digi or Digital Scrapbooking-- Creating layouts or cards using computer programs & files such as Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, GIMP, Paint Shop Pro, etc.
Hybrid Scrapbooking-- Using digital elements to create a layout or project, printing it, and adding traditional paper-based scrapbooking products to finish it off.
DH/DS/DD/SO-- Dear Husband, Dear Son, Dear Daughter, & Significant Other
