Today...

My Dad went to the neurologist for the first time since his surgery to have his staples and stitches removed. (He had brain surgery 2 weeks ago because he had fallen on the ice in Dec. and was bleeding into his brain.) He had been having some difficultly with his speech on Sunday and we were extremely worried about what the dr would say when we got there today, but we were SO HAPPY that he said it was normal to happen because the brain is healing and it should get better. He still wants to check him out in 2 weeks but he does not seemed to be concerned. So happy!!! 

Other happy news today... my nephew had some skin moles removed 2 weeks ago because his dermatologist didn't like the looks of the edges. They sent them out for biopsy and I found out today that everything came back fine! Happy happy!!! 

Just so happy that we are all safe and well!!! 

...and on a lighter note... so happy LOST is on tonight!!!

 I'm in California where the weather is in the high 60's (sure beats Michigan weather)
I went to Burbank's LSS and bought textured handmade paper (I've been wanting some!) & MME Penny Lane
Shopped at Target (I miss not getting to shop there much)
Happy with all the plants and animals I got on MyFarm on Facebook.
Making an easy dinner for dd, sil, and grandkids!

 Let's see:  I scored some chalkboard paint at Ms today.  I ate a nice crisp apple.  I was glad that to find out that my niece doesn't have pneumonia.

going to goodwill and finding a brand new, still in the box, not put together, Graco double stroller for only $80!!! but, the best part was spending the afternoon with my husband!!!

1.  The sun was out and it's a beautiful day
   
2. I feel great, no medical issues
3. Feeling great so no reason for a nap even though all of the kittehs were tempting me
4. Netflix delivered two really great movies to watch
5. My dh got a promotion which kicked in today, the bathroom is near completion and it's all happening before we expected

 My boss is "retiring"  (read as major layoffs) after 30+ years with the co.  I was in charge of getting a gift and card and two of the young male kids wrote such touching sentiments -humorous but acknowledging how the have been spoiled early on in thier working years  and will never have such an incredible boss - he was/is great, extremely smart and well advanced within the company yet you never felt less of a person for not knowing something. He always wanted to help you learn aand never made you feel inferior - I could go on and on but it did my heart good to see these to youngsters realize what they had and more importnatly to acknowledge it.

Today is my and dh's 26th wedding anniversary and things are great!
My students made me proud by answering the main idea/theme questions correctly
It was a beautiful day

 i had to start the day out with getting my nails done and a pedicure too.
 then i came home to spend the afternoon in my studio with my ipod cranked up and a bottle of wine to keep me hydrated. 
 i like i actually got a layout done...go figure!?!
 and i love that right now i'm the only one home.  quiet!

 My boyfriend called my on our way home from work ( I usually call him).
My cat was at the door to greet my when I came home.
I stopped at Dairy Queen and got a Choco Cherry Lovers Blizzard on the way home from work.
And my dogs were super happy to see me after they went out to potty.

 I found the threading water border punch that I've been looking for.
 I got to spend some time with two grandkids.
 I went to dinner with some friends and didn't have to cook because there were leftovers from last night for DH.
 I didn't have a lot of medical transcription to do.
 The crop is only two days away.

 1. VERY HAPPY driving down the road, hanging a right, and left soon after into the parking lot of my new job - LOVE that I am working in town again!

2. Happy ending to a great book - called War Horse for young readers, wonderful for horse lovers or military history buffs - in other words 11-13 yr old boys and girls, and middle aged women like me! will love this book

3. Being silly with DD as I put her to bed

4. Danny made it into the top 12 on AI

5. I figured out how to do something before leaving work that I believe will surprise my boss when he comes in , and make his day easier.6. Working so close to home.

7. Sorting my huge shipment of Magistical Memories Chipboard!

But I have really just physically felt too bad to be happy.
