My 11 yo son skied the 13 k Vasaloppet today. He guessed he would finish in an hour & 20 minutes. He crossed the finish line at 1 hour, 20 minutes, 31 seconds. First thing he said to me when he got done was "I want to do it again next year." He rocks.

They scrape it up from the fairgrounds (& other places I'm sure)- usually spend a day & a half hauling it in. It'll all be out of there by tomorrow morning. In no-snow years it's not usually as wide.corriekate wrote: That is awesome Tessa! They make snow for the streets?
ETA: Most of the race is cross-country- just finishes in town. There's a 58 k, 42 k, & 35 k also.
