Girls we take care of everyone else- who is going to take care of us- US right? So what things are you doing to better your health this year?
I actually got into a serious routine- after an oatmeal breakfast, I take my vitamins...and not just the multi either. Im taking Omega fish oil- its huge and I hate it, but I need it. I take cinnamon pills with chrominum picolanate- helps to steady blood sugar, and Girls we need Calcium...take calcium.
I also have energy issues so I take Vita B Complex it really does boost my energy. cause Im older I take chondroiten Msb for flexible, Because of dr.s orders- I take calcium with D and FOLIC acid, it helps brain function. (im an epileptic on meds that work) and Flax seed oil to help things move along
My husband looks at me and just shakes his head- I joke as Im taking my box full of vitamins- that IM practicing to be an old person. (he picks up alot of patients that carry boxes of meds).
Now he isnt laughing so much- I got him taking a 3 diff vitamins- Saw Palmetto for prostate health, mens daily, and another one that I forgot the name of...guess I need more folic acid....
Oh and uping the water/ healthy fats/ and veggie portions...those are the changes that I have made and stuck to them for almost a year.
So love yourself- and do one new healthy habit this month.
Wow you really are on a health kick.....good for you! It's hard sticking to a routine like that especially for me. I'm doing something small for my health this year.....I started eating a couple bananas each day for calcium. They've even helped me lose some pounds!

I'm doing Curves weight management program so I've pretty much cut out sweets, no chocolate (my own choice), no coffee (sticking to green and herbal teas as much as possible), lots of water, working out 4 times/week. I take lots of vitamins and fish oil. Can't take B vitamins so I don't do a mult-vit.
I feel much better than I have in a long time--no so creaky in the morning and after I've sat for a while.

I'm on Weight Watchers, take my multi-vitamin and magnesium (helps reduce my constant headaches) daily, and try to walk regularly (when the weather cooperates). Now I just need to start drinking more water....

- Last year I lost a LOT of weight and now I have about 40 more pounds to go so I joined Weight Watchers.
- I gave up caffeine, all but my one cup of coffee in the morning. I cut back to one caffeine free DIET Dr. Pepper a day and then it's water the rest of the time.
- I take a BILLION units of Vitamin D - OMGOSH this stuff really works
- Walk every day
- I take a ton of medicine for things but I also take Osteo Bi-Flex with Joint Shield and other vitamins so that I can still scrap!! That makes me very happy!
I'm taking a yoga class once a week, it is sooo relaxing. I'm also doing accupuncture twice a month and taking Chinese herbs. It is making such a difference!
WHAT, do something for myself. Am I suppose to do that? HE HE HE! my answer: NOTHING!
I am drinking my 8 glasses of water a day, trying to practice portion control, eating healthier, and exercising more. It's easy to see where my downfalls are with food when I have to track everything I eat on SparkPeople. This is the year that I will lose my weight and gain the tools to keep it off!

I've been taking fish oil and trying to drink a lot of water. I need to lower my triglycerides a bit so will be working on that. I'm waiting on the results of a bone scan, so will probably be taking calcium and D soon.

Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
DH and I go for daily walks. Try to eat healthy (but we also have the odd treat once in a while!) Last nite I heard on the health segment of the news that the wonder fruit for boosting immune system and loaded with antioxidants are Blueberries and pomegranates. So I bought some blueberry.pomegranate juice today. Don't much like the taste of pomegranate but am willing to give it another 'try'!

I've started leaving dishes in the sink for half the day and gave up on vacuuming daily. Sounds silly but the stress over my need to keep things perfect was not healthy. I also started buying things for myself. I work hard and deserve some pretty things!
I am drinking my 8 glasses of water a day and JUST started working out. I have also given up beef and pork until after my surgery. Wish me luck on the last one-I LOVE BEEF AND PORK!! But I love feeling and looking good more.

I spend 2 hours in the gym 4 days a week. (Ava loves the play area)
I drink nearly a gallon of water per day.
I only eat red meat once or twice a month.
I get nearly all of my servings of fruits and veggies.
I take calcium, fish oil, flax seed oil, and a multi-vite.
I have a breast MRI every six months (thanks Mom).
and my favorite...I save enough calories at the end of the day to have a little chocolate, or ice cream. It's good for my mental health.
For a little energy boost, I highly recommend Cranergy by Ocean Spray. It actually does work, for me anyway...I can't drink it at night or I can't sleep! Has b12 in it.

I've always had a healthy lifestyle, and I hate it. People always think it's so wonderful to be a size 0. Well, it's NOT. All I eat is hummus and spinach and sprouts. It's friggin hard, and I'm sick of it. I haven't had a drink with calories in a month. I'm thinking of incorporating donuts into my diet. Or french fries. Or spaghetti - NOT the kind with whole wheat pasta and textured vegetable protein either. I'm talking the kind with CHEESE. And MEABALLS.
