OK first of all, I am thankful she isn't hurt and then ...Grandma Flowers wrote: She probably learned her lesson, although she'll never tell you that. I have three daughters. Luckily they survived those years. Some day they'll discover that you're not as dumb as they thought. Until then, just keep praying because they don't listen, or at least acknowledge that they listen.
I so agree here ... they don't listen much less acknowledge that they are listening. 3 grown kids later, a few accidents (even BEFORE the license), and a lot of prayers and patience, they will now talk to us about how we aren't as dumb as they thought. I believe teenagers think they are invincible and nothing can hurt them at least until something happens to them or maybe a friend(s) unfortunately. My advice is to refrain from being too ready and willing to take them or pick them up should they need a ride and don't let them drive your vehicle ... she lost the convience of having a vehicle. That is a privilege not a necessity. I definitely would have her or him talk with the insurance company and at the same time be sure you or your dh talks to them so you know exactly where things stand. Reassure her you believe it wasn't done intentionally just out of being careless and you love her and just don't want to see her hurt.
I wish you luck with this and please be patient!
