 unfortunately, it was in my car with dh driving.  We hit a patch of black ice and started fishtailing all over the road at 60 miles an hour first one way then the other and then just started spinning with no control.  I screamed all the way into the snow filled ditch.
We were shook up but not hurt.  Many people stopped to help us.  One guy volunteered to drive to the nearest town and alert the tow truck driver - they came within 20 minutes and pulled us out and had to change our front tire.  The tire lost it's seal with the rim in the spinning. 
Everything else seemed ok - other than we both had back spasms.  I was 45 minutes late for my mammogram, but they were understanding.  In fact, after taking extra xrays, the technician told me that the dr. said they were ok.  Great news for this 16 year breast cancer survivor!

 Just did that last month only I totaled the car.  So glad you were both all right!  It is such a terrifying feeling!  Congrats on the clean bill of health!  WhoooHOOO!
