I finally got up the nerve to go get fitted. went to vickys secret...Of course she said their bras sizes differ from others, but according to her- Im supposed to be a 46 DD... which doesnt make sense to me cause I just bought a bra the other day and it was a 44 C. The band part fits great but the cup area feels a little roomy.... what is the best way to fit for a bra? I look up stuff on the net and find that there are several methods...
GRRRRR!!! I hate hate hate bra shopping...
At least you have boobies to put in them! In some brands, even the 32As are too big!! eek!
In my experience, Victoria's secret doesn't hire the most intelligent, capable of employees...

That's what I was thinking! Last time I had them do it, they kept giving me bras that were "supposed" to be my size, that were way too small!lilkoala3 wrote: In my experience, Victoria's secret doesn't hire the most intelligent, capable of employees...
I really need to go and get a real one done somewhere though...

I am bummed to hear that VS did not help you ladies.
I went there about 10 years ago and was fitted and finally got bras that fit good. I know their sizes may be a bit different than elsewhere, but I had never found a bra that ever did fit ritght before VS, so that is where I go. I try for sales..

I used to be an assistant mgr at Vicky's. I've found that a specialty bra store does a more accurate bra fitting. I have an unusual bra size and I've had more success with specialty shops than Vicky's. Some brands vary greatly in their bra size.
Im with scraptag, nothing to put in em. Though I have thought about going and getting fitted.
I had mine done at Victorias Secret years ago and then again a year or 2 back at Lane Bryant. I have the perfect size at Lane Bryant now and know just what to get.
I am not sure what site I read how to do a bra measurement, but it was so perfect! I realized I was wearing a wrong bra size. I haven't gone to get measured professionally. I have heard that they are pokey and touchy in areas that I don't want other woman touching!

Does Vicky's now have plus size bras? The last time I went in I needed to go up to a 40 and 38 was the biggest they had. The clerk was dismissive and downright rude when she realized they had no bras to fit me. Hey - I still could of bought a robe or panties! I haven't been back in since.

I have found that the stores here in CO don't carry much in the larger sizes (which I need), but usually online they have a bit more selection than just the basic bra.
I love VS, don't get me wrong. They are the most comfortable bra I've ever had and pretty much the only brand I wear. It was just the fitting that didn't go so well LOL. The girl kept trying to tell me I was a C cup. Ummm there is no way these are fitting in a C cup. I had to show her that my cups were running over

I had one done at Macy's one day. I didn't go for one...just was looking at bras, she asked if I'd been fitted and she was so nice I turned around and found myself agreeing to it. I don't regret it a bit. I discovered I'd been wearing the wrong size for years (shocker) and when I wear the right size it's amazing how much more comfy it is!!!

I don't wear a bra. If I didn't have feet, I wouldn't wear shoes right?
This is a very interesting thread. I HOPE that there is more discussion about this.
I will never again shop at VS. After I had Cole I went to get a bigger bra cause the boobies went from a 32A to a 36something or other and the girl told me they did not have bras that would fit me. Granted this was over 6 years ago and I think they have changed their thinking, but I was pissed then and am still pissed now.
I usually get mine at the mall, such as Dillards or something.
Sorry it does not fit your right...can you take it back?

No, but, I want to. I think I really need it.
