i am kinda new here and not sure where this post fits in. long story short, i have an older sis who lives in las vegas. she has battled cancer for about 5 years. i got a call from her DH today. she's been admitted to immediate care unit at one of the hospitals there. she's not doing good at all. he had to hold the phone for her to hear me. and i couldn't understand a word she said. it's so sad.
so tomorrow i am heading up there to spend 2 days doing moral support, giving my BIL a break from the hospital once in awhile, and hopefully spend some good times w/ her. i will be MIA for a few days. even tho we have known she battles this disease it's really difficult when the reality starts to hit like this.
wish me luck and i'll chat with the board later this week.
I am so sorry!!! Please be safe on your trip, best wishes and prayers for all of you and keep us updated!

Susie,
I am very sorry to hear about your sister and her situation.
I understand what you said about knowing that the disease is there, and has been for a number of years, but one tries not to think about it too much in the hopes that things will turn around.
All the best to your sister and her immediate family, and to you, also. Have a safe trip.
