I think for me, top of my new years scrappy resolutions,
1) find and organization plan for paper and tools area and stick to it- (i constantly try to re-invent the wheel when it comes to organization)
2) File new goodies right away, and vow to use them asap.
3) re-purpose, Use up scraps more. (organise the scraps better)
4) cut down on impulse buys, and stick more to what Im out of and really need. ie) cardstock, more paper trays, etc.
5) get back to scrapping a page 1-2 x a week.
6) start all those altered object projects building up in my closet.
7) get a jump start on my christmas cards.
8) actually put the finished layouts in the protective sleeves and binder
9) keep my supplies a little cleaner
10) label my albums better.
I would have to say that mine is just to scrap! I did more this year (mostly in the Summer) because Em was doing lots and I had the time to do the pages as she did the activities. Since I started back to work in the fall I haven't had the time to do much at all. I want to set aside some time to be able to scrap the way I want to.
i guess my main scrapbook objective is to get back into where it was part of my regular routine. at least a few times a week in my studio. i've struggled with the motivation the past several months. maybe now with a new baby in the house i can play at it more. i really miss the creative outlet.
i also need to print off pictures more regularly.
i'd like to use up my stash but i think it secretly keeps filling back up somehow. it never seems to go away (the older things).

Actually... I HAVE a resolution this year! I'm moving my son's room back upstairs and taking the WHOLE downstairs family room as my scrapping area! Should have done that initially but the DS wanted his "space"... ;P so I gave him the area instead. Now, he realizes he was young and naive (his words not mine) and doesn't want to be responsible for such a large area! LOL!
Trish ~ It's all fun and games until somebody loses an EYELET!
I need to find a better way to organize my stickers and other embellishments. I have so many that I can never find what I want and don't even know what I have. Any suggestions?

I'm one of those people who never make New Year's resolutions. When I used to try, I always felt miserable when I failed to keep them - so now I just do what seems best when the time is there.
I hope to scrapbook more and buy less. We'll see how it goes.
My 2009 Scrappy Goals:
1. Complete 350 layouts
2. Use up all my old swap kits
3. Complete 3 rounds of the 50 layouts without shopping challenge
4. Complete at least 5 challenges/contests per month at ACOT
5. Finish all albums started before 1/1/09
and my bonus goal - take at least one frame-worthy picture of DH and I together each month, so I'll actually have a picture for next year's Christmas card. When I look through the pictures we have of just us together in 2008, well it was slim pickings, lol. Since I spend more time with him than everyone else in my life combined, I think that's a pretty sad state of affairs.
I don't really like regular resolutions, but setting scrappy goals each year really keeps me motivated.

last year I set my goals late, more around February, to organize my scrap room and to set monthly attainable goals to create X number of pages before buying anything new. That worked terrifically so I'm doing it again this year but starting early!
So, I'm cleaning up after the holidays, re-tooling the way I've organized some of my patterened paper (I no longer care who is the manufacturer) and embellies to be by color and I'm going to set monthly goals to continue to use my stash.
I also want to make my pages more meaningful by journaling more. I used to do this a lot and I've gotten away from it over the last year. It's easier just to make to page without telling the story but that's not the point for me.
So, there are my goals, in writing. I've copied this post and will refer back to it as needed through out the year.

I keep most of my stickers in a portable accordian file folder. I say most because I have several 'projects in process' When I have a project, I pull all my stickers and other embellishments, papers etc that I know I will want with that project and group them together in a plastic case that snaps shut. I have 2 major plastic cases and a couple smaller plastic envelopes. That keeps my pending pile somewhat in control.Grandma Flowers wrote: I need to find a better way to organize my stickers and other embellishments. In the file folder I group my stickersroughly by themes, alpha, ones that I got for hubby pages& LOVE pages, animals stickers, holidays, each of my kids has a slot, karate theme, flowers, rub ons etc.
I also file my scrap paper in a hanging file folder in a plastic crate according to color and that seems to work pretty good for me so far.
Same here. I haven't scrapped anything since early Spring (maybe.......). Got the scrappy area ALMOST organized. So I hope to start scrapping soon.Emsdancemom wrote:I would have to say that mine is just to scrap! Oh - and I have to seriously reduce my stash of stuff before I buy anything new!
