As much as I love having company (and I really do!), they have all gone home now! and I am reveling in the quiet and the lack of someone asking where something is...ya know? We tell everyone that the first time they visit, they are company and, after that, they are family and are expected to find cups, glasses etc on their own.
But the next guest is my pal who visits often and has our routine down pat...so meanwhile, let the scrapping begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is nice to have your house back to yourself & get back into a routine again. I am diving back into scrapping tonight, too after DD goes to bed!
i know what you mean! my MIL was here for 2 weeks. when my dd had her baby we have had family coming from everywhere to welcome the new little one. it's nice but it's been no quiet day for over a week with the holiday stuff too. my other dd was staying with us to help her sister with the baby. our other kids and their families were here alot. this morning i told dh how nice and quiet it was with just him, dd, baby kayla, and me here. i spoke too soon. my grandson called and asked to spend the nite. and tomorrow starts another barrage of family for a few days for new year's. sigh. maybe next week it will get quiet finally.

lmao, yep my sentiments exactly... after having 7 adults & 8 kids
up and down, up and down THREE flights of stairs all the darn day
long, i was ready to plan a trip out of town for myself, all alone in
peace & quiet so i can scrap but eventually, they do leave! LOL

WAS a TIKI BAR GIRL AND ALWAYS WILL BE
That's funny, Jules. We do the same thing at our house.
Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
Enjoy the peace and quiet Jules and relax! Happy New Year!

I'm with you, I love having the house all to myself. That rarely happens these days as ds moved back home. I'm hoping he finds a job here shortly that pays decent money so he can have his freedom again, and me as well.
