The idea for this is not a swap. You are supposed to shop for your SS and get her things she will use or like, based on her wishlist and on the SS questions that will be posted soon. Handmade things are nice, but they should be specifically made for you gal, and fit with the themes she has requested, plus they don't take the place of shopping for your SS. Each month is a $3-$5 gift and then a $10-$15 reveal package at the end. I have sent partial items that I know my gal will use, in addition to things I purchased for her. The main idea is to make her feel special throughout the year. If you still want to join, there might be room for you, or you could get in for the 2nd half of the year!More newbie questions... does everyone send brand new things? Are there handmade things (like border sets or cut titles) or things from your own stash that can be passed on? I've done similar swaps with different groups and everyone has different expectations... me personally, I don't mind 'partials' of something someone else bought & will never use, but wouldn't want to send that to someone who would find it tacky!
