As most of you know less than a year and a half ago, I was totally freaking about leaving my homestate of FL to move out here to CO. I thought we were going to be here for at least 4 years, and have really tried to make a good life here. We love it. All of us.
Welllll you know how the military is, nothing is assured. Yesterday George got orders for him to attend a school in DC. We will be moving in the summer. Less than two years after we moved here.
This is not want we wanted, at all. Cole LOVES it here. and we were really trying to make sure we did not move him around alot. But it is what it is.
So if I seem down or preoccupied, just bare with me...k?
So sorry! Some friends of ours were stationed in DC and really loved it. What base? They were at Belvior. How long will you be there?
Gotta love military life.
HUGS!!!

Aww Sus, I'm sorry hon. That just stinks that you guys are going to be unsettled again so soon. I hope DC offers you more than you can imagine and at least now *I* have a snowball's chance in hell to come visit you! ((hugs)) hang in there!
Oh, man, that really sucks for you guys. {{HUGS}}
Breathe, Sus. Just breathe.
Its going to be ok. Promise

Rosa sat so that Martin could walk. Martin walked so that Barack could run. Barack ran so that our children could fly.
I hate that for you...I know how beautiful Colorado is! But, on the bright side....you'll be closer to us Cherries in the east.
Look on the bright side, you'll be alot closer to me.
Here I come to save the day! Chas

Oh man, sorry to hear that chicky. Hopefully you will love it there too. We'll still be around here.
I wasn't a 'military brat' growing up, I was 'retail brat'. My dad was transferred almost every 2-3 years. We moved back and forth across NY state like a tennis ball in a Wimbelton match. That's how I got to be here (FL) ya know. Transferred.suslvgeo wrote: As most of you know less than a year and a half ago, I was totally freaking about leaving my homestate of FL to move out here to CO. We always hated moving and having to make new friends, but we always did find new friends and adjusted fine. Cole will be ok.
((((hugs)))) sweetie.
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
aww sus that sucks! I LOVE colorado too! That's a shame.. but sounds like alot of cherries will be close by you. *hug* I know it'll all work out somehow for you dear!

It sucks to move, but now you have an excuse to see all those places in Colorado that you were "holding off" on, and an excuse to visit all those cool historical places on the East Coast! And truely, I love all cultures, and moving to a place is the best way to appreciate the place and it's people!
Hugs sweetie...I know the thought of moving you and Cole so soon is scary. Did I mention that when I moved away from home at 19, that it was my 17th move? Dad was military and then a Govt. employee, so yes, that's what happened. It was hard, but I turned out relatively normal
I think there are so many places I WOULD NEVER want to move to...DC isn't one of them. I thought it would be an amazing place to live when we were there this summer.
I'll be thinking about you, and praying for you, that things go smoothly.

Sorry Girl!!! Just try to think of the positive. There are so many cool things to see in DC!
Bummer. I sure hope it turns out to be a better move than you currently think it will be.
sorry about that, {{{{{hugs}}}}} to you! but at least you won't have to deal with such harsh winters, and you'll be closer to me I'm kinda fun
