Question of the day 10/13
How often do you wash your car? Do you do it or do you run through an automatic car wash?

When I was younger we lived in the country more and had to wash it like twice a week becasue of dirt and dust( did it by hand) -- now I wash it about once a month--if that( at the car wash) . My neighbor spends hours washing and cleaning his every friday night, by hand and dries it by hand-- I just cant see it.

Ha ! very rarely in the winter. About 1/month in the summer - dh usually takes it to the carwash.  If it's nice out I like to wash it by hand

my dh took it to the car wash place where they wash, dry, vaccum, etc ... wasn't that sweet of him ... he did it just for me!  We can finally get our car back in the garage after about a year and 1/2.  finally had a garage sale that cleaned it all out.  yaaaay!!! :greenlol:

We do not wash ours often enough!!  When we do, we take it to the drive-through.

We don't do it too often but when we do we do it ourselves.  I haven't used a carwash for a long time and sort of don't understand paying good money for soap and water!

About once a month or so...and I split doing it myself and going to the carwash about 50/50.

We use my car to haul lots of people, so dh will take it and run it through the car wash whenever we are going somewhere special!

about once a month :) During the summer, I will wash it by hand. In the winter, it's the carwash baby! Too frickin' cold for me to be outside!

About once a month, I take "Hot Mama" (my car) to a place up the street.  For 9.00 they wash, dry, vac and wipe out the inside and do the tires.  She looks and smells brand new.  I can't do a better job!

About once a month I will run it through some place. Because we live in the country it seems pointless to do it more than that.

We wash our car every couple of months or so.  We usually go through the car wash unless we have time to do it ourselves.

You mean a coating of dirt isn't a protective layer? <gasp!>

Mine probably could get washed more, I just never get around to it.

Re: Question of the day 10/13
I don't ever wash my car.  We're supposed to wash them to get the salt off (from the wintery roads) but I ignore that.  IMO, cars are just to get us from one place to another and I could care less if they look nice.  As long as the rust stays off long enough for me to drive the car into the ground...I'm good.

Re: Question of the day 10/13
First of all the car wash is over 25 minutes away and it would be dirty by the time we got it home - there are a lot of dirt roads that we travel.  We mostly wash it in the late winter, early spring, when the snow is melting and the dirty slush gets all over the car along with salt from the roads.  My Jeep is silver and doesn't show dirt as much as my dh's black pickup.

In the nice weather, we might wash them once a month in our driveway.

Seldom! I think the dirt is what keeps it together! :-D

Re: Question of the day 10/13
I'm pretty lazy when it comes to washing the vehicles. :-D The car in the summer I usually wash about 3 times. Basically once every two months. This year less though cuz it rained so much. No point in washing it just for it to get dirty again. Oh and I tend to wand wash it.

In the winter time I have my truck and I wash it very rarely. Just cuz it's so big. When I do wash it I take it to this place called Chamois where they wash and dry it inside and out. Makes sense to me to do in the winter time.
