I've been up since 3am this morning. We have really high winds around here & a big fire in the Angeles National Forest that is growing due to the winds. We can see the smoke from our house & a few homes have been burnt. Schools in the area are closed, the freeway closed & about 1200 people evacuated.
Please keep these people & the fire fighters in your thoughts. Thanks.

Just talked to my daughter in Burbank - she can't see it from her balcony, but she can see the smoke rising above the hills on the west. Also Griffith park near her had a brush fire that they worked on putting out. We'll be going to Griffith Park in less than 2 weeks for a twins club outing at Travel Town train museum. That is only 10 minutes away from her home.

They had on a clip of it this morning on our morning news. I can't imagine how you would feel, but I do know just hearing about it I would be scared to death. I told hubby if that ever happened to us, just grab all the albums everything else can be replaced. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone. Makes Thanksgiving a little bit more special today.

Are you closer to the Porter Ranch fire or the Lakeview Terrace fire? I'm at work right now but checked with a neighbor & was told that the winds are still pretty gusty.
