There's a dairy farm just outside of town, and apparently they did some power poo spreading sometime at the beginning of the week or over the weekend. Every day this week, the smell of poo has hung over town. It's incredibly nasty.
Just thought I'd share that happy smell of the day!

Llama farm, eh? Wonder what that smells like?JeanellePaige wrote:Yummy!! My parents live next door to me, and they have a Llama farm. The smell wafts over here every once in a while. It's great isn't it?
The only poo smell that doesn't bother me is horses. I LOVE the smell of a horse barn. Hmmm...should I be concerned about that??

My mother loves the smell of it too, because she grew up on a farm. I think the Llama poo smells just like Cow poo. At least when I drive by the farms around here it smells the same.Mommybruno wrote:Llama farm, eh? Wonder what that smells like?JeanellePaige wrote:Yummy!! How bored are we?? Talking about animal poo!! LOL!!
Ahhhhh the farm fresh smell! I live in a very agricultural area. We don't get wafts here at our house, but driving anywhere on the outskirts of our city we get those lovely smells. Anything from pig farms, chicken, mushroom, dairy, horses. We have it all.

My mother grew up in Leesburg, Florida in the heart of Citrus land. I often went to visit my grandparents there during the summer. The town had a Minute Maid PJ plant. On days when the wind would blow from the plant there would be this freaky extra acidic burnt orange smell in the air. It seemed nice on the first whiff, but then it got bad. I guess you would say it had a bad aftersmell.
Icky.....it's almost as nasty as skunks! We smelt plenty of it passing through Fresno last week on our way to Yosemite.
gee, thanks!
