80's movies! I've decided to celebrate the end of summer with a 1980's filmfest on our big screen. So what are your favorite, classic 80's movies? I want to make sure I don't forget any.
So far, I have:
Pretty in Pink
The Breakfast Club
Big
St. Elmo's Fire
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
I totally love the Breakfast Club!! We just won an "80's Movie Night" basket from a raffle - we got like 10 new DVD's!!
I'm also a fan of Big, Splash, Mannequin (I think that's what it's called - not sure on that one), FB's Day Off, and Beetlejuice (was that 80's?)

Kristi, that is a great list! I love most of those movies, and there are a few I'd forgotten about...Short Circuit and Stripes are two more of my faves! I'm starting to feel so old, because most of my students haven't seen half these movies, and they don't know the actors/actresses I am talking about, either. It's scary!
Laura
Stripes! OMG! That movie was watched in our house on a daily basis! My brother and I could repeat the movie verbatim!

Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller are my two favorites.
I think The Exorcist came out in the 70's.Animal House is either the late 70's or very early 80's, like 1980 or early 81.
Beverly Hills Cop
The Empire Strikes Back
Coal Miner's Daughter
Urban Cowboy
The Exorcist, The Omen (the original) and Animal House were all 70's movies. ConAir was 1997 or so.

Dh's fave 80's movie is Blues Brothers. I have to admit I like it, too.
My dd is an 80's kid and she loves all the ones that have been listed. Naturally, I have seen them all more than once being her mom. I do have a few that I watch over and over.
