 Thanks for the welcoming ladies! If I may ask, what is an online crop? I've never heard of that.

Also, scrapbooking is my therapy. :)It helps keep me calm and busy. I used to crochet as therapy years ago, Now scrapbooking is my thing and I have gotten my 8 year old daughter addicted herself. She's actually really great at scrapbooking. She loves her cuttlekids she got for christmas.

welcome to the acot msg board. i am new as well.......in 1979, a yr after my  divorce...i went to see my friend in hawaii........i can not remember the town but it started w/ a k as well..i had a fantastic time there......now, we correspond my e-mail.....i loved the flowers,the beach,the macadamia nuts, the pink hotel.....did not care for the poi(sp)?
i guess in hawaii they must not scrap much at all.........dvegas------pray tell me how you manage to scrap w/beening so busy.......you must be super organized?  my friend & her husband showed me around the island & we skipped lot the
tourist traps..........had a great time......how long will you be over there....

 Well, my name is Dawn and I just seem to make the time to scrap. I would love to scrap more, but things will get easier as the babies grow up. I was actually born and raised on Kauai. My mom was a local Hawaiian and my dad was from California. I went to college in New York, graduated, got married, divorced and moved back home. I have been back home now for 13 years and I love it. I really like raising my kids here. I was able to spend a lot of quality time with my mom before she passed. The cost of living is outrageous, but I wouldn't trade living near family and friends for the world. I only wish that I had gotten into scrapping before my mom passed. She would have loved it. 

With 7 kids, I'll never run out of pictures to scrap. The kids love to see the pages as their finished. Believe it or not, I am in the middle of scrapping pictures of my 15 year old from birth to the present. I actually had to organize the pictures before I started. After that, I'll have to scrap my 17 year olds pictures. 17 years of photos, OMG! One day at a time. By the way, my older girls help me out a lot! I don't know what I'd do without them!

 Aloha Dawn! I spent half my childhood on Maui ( moved away in 1991 but just got back from a week long visit there ). On Maui there is ONE scrapbook store ( Island Paperie ). This board is fantasticly friendly and the gallery is gorgeous so you will love it here!

 My name is Shirley. My husband and I took a cruise last year to each of the islands. They are all different and so beautiful. I have a cousin who lives in Hilo. My favorite thing were the banyan trees.  So So beautiful 
I too am new to this.
