I don't know what to do, I don't know where to turn, I just feel soo lost. This has never happened to me before. I totally feel like a stranger in my own body. I am actually feeling a little better but the other night I had some sort of meltdown. For the last couple of weeks I have not been feeling myself, not sick like the flu, just like something wasn't right. Well the other day it all came to a head, I felt like I was in a box and the walls were closing in on me. I could not breathe and I just started crying uncontrollably for no reason. This went on for about an hour and I still don't quite feel like myself. I am so totally sad, for no reason and just feel so totally lost.
I have been taking two different antibiotics for some work I had done on my teeth, so I am hoping that is what it is, but I have been off of them since Friday and I still am not completely myself. Has anyone ever had this happen to them and what should I do?
Sorry for letting this all out, but I needed to get it out somewhere and I knew I could count on you guys to help lift my spirits.
Gosh... Have you checked into the side effects of the meds you were on? I would also call your doctor. I suffer from depression and some of what you have said has happened to me when I have gone off my meds. {{{HUGS}}} to you! I hope you are yourself again real soon!

My first thought was anxiety, especially the incident the other day with the walls closing in on you. That really sounds like an anxiety/panic attack. They can be really scary.
Do you have a doctor you can get into soon?
I have had anxiety attacks before, once in a shopping mall and another time in a cafeteria. Nothing in particular happened on those days but I think it just built up in me.
I hope you get some answers soon.

Carrie it sounds like some sort of depression. Maybe you should go see your doc about it. They have great meds for that!!
Yep, I think it sounded like a panic/ anxiety attack, too.
Keep us posted, hon.

If life gives you lemons, go find an annoying person with paper cuts.
I agree. Get yourself to the doctor right away hon. (((((hugs)))))
On a molecular level, I'm very busy.
It could be side effects- please see your doc to find out. (((hugs)))

I'm not saying forget what you lost

I say snap out of it or I'll kick your butt But before that, I'd call your doc and get some advice. I was on darvaset after my gallbladder surgery and I had a cruddy reaction. For three days I just sort of walked around in a haze and then started to get the way you're feeling after coming down off the meds. I hadn't realized it while I was on them, but I was basically just a couch potato and VERY depressed while on them. Sending you some good vibes!!
CHEERS~~
Sounds scary Sweetie...have it checked out.
I know I have dealt with some of the same feelings since my kids have gotten older, yours aren't really there yet though, so talk to your doctor about it.

It does sound like anxiety. Go to your doctor and find out. It took my doctor almost a year to figure out that I was having anxiety attacks so if your doctor can't figure out anything, maybe you should bring that to his attention. It could be side effects of the medicine but most likely it's going to be anxiety. Hope all gets better soon and please keep us posted. <<<HUGS>>>
I hope it's just a temporary side effect from the meds you were on but I agree with the others, check in with your Dr. You are going to be alright. Just hang in there for now & do things that make you happy.
They've said it all Carrie but I wanted you to know I'm thinking about you!
Thanks everyone! I figued it was either a panic attack or the meds, I will call the doc and see what he says though. Thank you all so much for the the advice and well wishes. Now, I think I will NOT clean the house, NOT do dishes and NOT do laundry today and just work on some scrapbook pages. I for sure don't want Jamie coming to kick my butt!
Thanks again for all your thoughts...

Pain medications make me depressed.
If you're taking pain meds (not antibiotics) talk with the pharmacist and/or doctor
Otherwise, talk with your doctor and tell him/her what's going on. SOunds like panic/anxiety

yeah, I have felt like that before, but I keep everything bottled up inside, so one of these days I will prolly really go "postal" cause everyone walks all over me just for kicks and I have always let them
every once in a blue moon things just go oiut of control over the most insignificant thing like a broken fingernail. Since it starts for literally no reason, you have no idea why so you have no idea what to do to make it better. Usually time is the only thing that helps. Part of my problem was due to a knee injury, and I was not getting any sleep. Once I was getting sleeping (sleeping pills), that helped, but in the meantime, I did have to spend the weekend away fro, people. Luckily my little episode happened on a Saturday morning. I bawled my eyes out till I couldn't see straight. I felt a little better. Then I spent the day alone, outside, fresh air, it was summer. It really helped immensly.
Definitely see a dr though. It maay just be a weird side affect from those meds wearing off, but don't take a chance. And don't let people take advantage of you likeI do
