my morning? OK, so as most know my dh and ds are gone on a camping trip with BoyScouts. Well, this morning I was dreaming that I had to go pee, so I was getting up to go pee. Well, I turned over and I was still on the bed, so I turned over again flipped myself right off the bed and hit my head on the corner of the night stand beside me. I never lost conciousness, but I immediately felt my head to see if there was any blood. Such enough there was!
So I'm debating to myself do I call 911 and have all the neighbors woken up with the ambulance and police cars or do I drive myself to the ER. I opt for the latter, so I get dressed, brush my teeth, let the cat out to go potty and procede to the ER which is about 30 minutes from me, but I don't want to go to another hospital because then you have to fight with the insurance about this and it's more hassle and stress that I don't want.
So, I finally get to the ER, park in the parking garage and go in to wait and wait, I'm sure. There is always a long wait at the ER, however much to my surprise there was no one waiting. I got right in and the doc came right in (which was a surprise), they cleaned out the wound and then put in 1 staple to hold it together. They use staples instead of stitches in the head so they do not have to cut any of your hair!
So here's the picture, that I took because dh and ds are away. It's kinda out of focus, but it's the best that I can do right now.

I don't know why the writing is all in red. I tried to put the word blood in red, but I got all red I guess!
Shannon - I am quite impressed with myself that I did do this all on my own, but even if dh was here, he wouldn't have gone with me to the hospital and I would have to take ds with me, so it's kinda good that they weren't here.

Ouch! I glad it's not worse. Maybe you need bumpers on the night stand.
WOW - that was some kind of knock to the noggin! I'm glad you handled it so well and are going to be okay but I sure would move that night stand!!
Man Robin, that had to hurt. Be careful and take care of yourself.
Wow, Robin you are a trooper!! I hope you're feeling better!!

I'm amazed you drove yourself to the ER. But I'm really glad you made it there okay. Take it easy now.
Thankfully you did not lose consciousness while alone!
It must be so sore. (((hugs)))
Did they tell you warning signs for a concussion?
I hope you heal well.

No they didn't tell me any warnings of a concussion, but she did ask if I felt nausated or had vomitted, to which I said, NO.
I am really tired and I want to take a nap, but I'm not sure if it's OK. Didn't think to ask. It seems like it should be alright though because it's been awhile. It's been 7 hours already.

ouchie! {{{hugs}}} to you; I recommend bumper pads on the nightstand and some wine therapy
