I have a Sony Vaio and we love it- it's a multi-media type thing.
My friend at work just got a Dell laptop- she ordered it from their website, but ordered it as a business and got better software on it cheaper than if she ordered it regularly. She just made up a business name- they didn't require any proof that she was a business at all!

I love HPs I have two desktops, and one laptop that are HP. The only trouble I have had is with Mirosoft program (VISTA) I also have two Scanners that are HP as well as 3 printers.

I have an HP entertainment notebook too...it's a Pavillion tx1115nr --- I was in the store with money in hand to buy a MacBook, but found that the lid didn't open all the way up (so the screen is at the exact angle as the keyboard --- think straight line.) Since I was in school at the time and had a tendency to prop my knees up in front of me to read my school work (all my schoolbooks were electronic) I knew that wouldn't work for me. I ended up at Best Buy and told the sales rep what happened and he showed me this one. The lid/screen spins all the way around like a tablet and I can close the cover with the screen on the outside. I can't write on the screen like you can with a full tablet computer, but the tablet-like screen made reading my textbooks really easy since I could turn pages using my wireless mouse!!!
Of course, now that school is over, it's not a big deal but when I start my masters this winter it might be helpful again. It'll depend on how much online reading I have to do. (I actually prefer real books, but online textbooks were much less expensive!)
