My first record was Cock-a-doodle-doo (a collection of kids music) - then I got Sesame Street (it was pink with Big Bird on the cover) - then the Sound of Music soundtrack
My first cassette bought with my own money was Madonna's Like a Virgin. My mom freaked when she saw the title (she's a very Catholic mama - dumb and stupid were considered swear words in our house)

It was a Bon Jovi tape of some sort. I got it for Christmas, and I didn't like Bon Jovi when I was 12, and i don't like Bon Jovi now.

I KNOW I had Bobby Sherman's...did he even make enough records to have a whole album?
Shaun Cassidy, and the Partridge Family too!
What really stood out though, is when I got the 8TRACK player...Beach Boys Endless Summer Baby!
OMGosh we ARE the same age, aren't we!?! LOL!!!!
My first album was by the Patridge Family and my second was a 45 rpm Julie Julie by Bobby Sherman!! I didn't like Shaun though. I was David's all the way - LOL!!!
It was a single - Celebrate by Kool and the Gang.

Mine was John Denver's greatest hits - who knew you could be hippy at 8?
We called them records, kids today call them vinyl(weird) but it was either Styx and I knew every word to every song, or Elvis, I can't remember... Man I feel old....

OMG I cannot believe I am going to admit this but I believe it was something from Andy Gibb , then there was Air supply, and AC/DC, and then Kenny Rogers and ALabama
