On behalf of ACOT, I want to
apologize for the site problems we've been experiencing lately. We will
do everything we can to get our site faster for this coming weekend.

The new board is requiring more resources than our old one did -
so we decided to upgrade our servers with our server hosting company
about 2 weeks ago. They have been giving us the run-around and believe
me it hasn't been pretty. I'll spare you the details, but both Brandon
and I have been on the phone with them numberous times about our server
upgrades.

We should have had our new servers in place a few days
after placing the order, but it didn't end up being that simple.
However, after talking to the regional sales rep for our server company
yeterday, we were assured that we should have our upgrade by Friday.
Sigh. If you know me at all, you'd know that this is driving me
absolutely batty. It is giving ACOT a black eye and all we can do right
now is hold our breath and hope they come thru with our new servers.
Believe me, I begged and pleaded with them yesterday - last week as
well - to get our servers up sooner, but I dont' think it did any good.
I tried my nice tactic, then tried my not-so-nice one as well. Friday.

Well,
we cannot just sit back and wait for our new servers, so we've decided
to do whatever we can to lessen the load on our servers now. Last nite
Brandon dumped all posts over a year old. They are still available on
the old board. He may get rid of all posts over 6 months as well. This
has already started to help. The other issue is with PM's. I can't
hardly stand to check and respond to PM's anymore! But then I have
5,000+ pms in my in box. That does not help either. So Brandon is going
to get rid of old PM's - older than 3 months. PM's older than that are
still available on our old board. He will probalby do this in the middle of the night tonite since purging the board and pm's will draw on resources and slow things down as well.

So
there ya have it! it's been a nightmare here for us, believe me. With
the crop coming up, then our upcoming big warehouse move, the last
thing we need to deal with right now is server problems.

There
are a couple other tricks up Brandon's sleeve that he can do for this
weekend to make things faster on our site. They are last-resort types
of things, but we will do whatever we have to to keep our crop running
smoothly.
