I wanted a better way to show off my pictures from a halloween party I had, so I bought some stamps and stencils and went to town!
I started when I had my baby. I had dabbled here and there in high school and college but nothing serious until my baby and he is almost one so I am still relatively new to the whole scrapbooking thing But I love it!!
While I was on maternity leave, I spent some time online browsing some scrapbooking message boards to try and get a feel for it. When my son was about 2 months old, I went to Hobby Lobby and spent way too much money. And I was hooked!
Many years ago at a CM party but then did nothing until about 4 years ago
Always was taking craft classes of some kind and took a scrapbooking one. Loved it!Started going to a few CM parties but now I have to have it all!
My girlfriend invited me to a Stampin Up party...after buying every color ink pad, paper, marker and most stamps....I soon discovered area scrapbook stores...then when my youngest was in school, all day everyday, I discovered online sites, "kit clubs" ect....I will NEVER be the same!
at the time my older son was born, my mother's father lived in Nogales, Arizona and we lived in Little Rock, Ar. We didn't get to see him very often and so I decided to start scrapping for my grandfather so he could have a book of Timothy to see him grow up. Thankfully now he lives with my mother and he can see him grow up. I know what you all mean about all those early trends in scrapping!!
A co-worker invited me to a LSS class. They were having a 2 for 1 class. Basicly you pay for the class and get to bring a friend and she asked me to go. Shortly after that someone invited me to to CM party. Or, was the CM party first? I can't recall. They were around the same time. Hey, it was 10+ years ago. I'm fuzzy on the details.
I was getting married and wanted to have something to remember my wedding by so I got into scrapbooking by reading scrapbook magazines.
I started out with CM and scrapped for about 3 years and lost intrest in it. Then one day, shortly after my GD was born I was surfing the net and stumbled across ACOT! I began looking in the Shop and before I knew what hit me I was hooked!!
I was having a chat with one cousin about all the pictures I had of DS (he was about 5 months then) She told me about another cousin who sold SB stuff. I had no idea what that meant. Well I had my first CM party June 2003 and have been a Scrapper ever since.
I made my first scrapbook when I was in 6th grade. It was one of those with manila-type paper and held together by covers with a cord running through eyelets on the side. i pasted in my school newspaper, greeting cards, spirit ribbons, etc. I still have that one.Fast forward many years and I became a mom. I wanted to keep a special book for my DS so I attended a CM crop where my neighbor helped me make my first page. Needless to say, I was hooked. I still like that first page because I used some great photos.

I started stampinig with my daughter. Thought it would be nice to do something together as I knew (or prayed) that she would move out soon. We went on to scrapping. Here I am, 9 years later scrapping her daughers life. But recenty got the sons girfriend hooked and am getting GD into it. (shes over at her table stamping right now)
Well when I was planning my wedding, I decided that I wanted to do one. I didn't know anyone who did it, nor did I know anything about it. I bought a cheap little album on amazon and the waited. I ended up getting pregnant on my honeymoon, and ended up needing a amniocentsis and while I was on bedrest for 4 days following that I bought some books on scrapbooking and read up on it. From that point on I have been hooked.
I started when my DH was retiring from police work. I wanted to document his career for a retirement gift. I put that album together in about a month.

My sister went to a cm class and she showed me the layouts. I have been hooked ever since.
I started when I needed to showcase some photos for work. Yeah, so I scrapped at work to get that project done... I was hooked. I moved on to my own photos and the rest is history!
Saw a friend's album and decided to do one of my own for a vacation album.

I always kept a scrapbook ( you know the photo albums that stick to the pictures) Then a friend of mine at work brought her album in of her son. I thought it was very beautiful but who could be bothered with all that! It's only a fad anyway!!LOL Six years later I have a dedicated room and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I started after I got engaged and wanted to do something different for my wedding album, didn't have a lss so I stopped at michaels.
