Bowl Full of Cherries
Recently found out my daughter (almost 9) is allergic to milk...not just lactose intolerant, but full on allergic. I need to take her in to get her blood drawn to tell blood type and run more allergy tests and try to think of some sort of reward afterwards. Usually would take her for ice cream, but with the milk allergy and all...wouldn't be a good thing. Any suggestions on a good reward?

Maybe take her to a movie?? or something girly. Do they have a Libby Lu near you? How old is she?eta: oops..just saw she's almost nine. I'd take her to get a little manicure or something like that just to spend time with her!

New shoes? at that age I loved pretty shoes.
Have you heard of the methods they use now to try to get you over food allergies? A friend of mine went to a chiropractor for it. She did it for milk ( took 4 treatments ) and for peanuts and now at age 36 can eat like a normal person!!!

No Libby Lu here...wish we did have one. We just got a Target a couple years back in "town" which is 30 miles away. Love living the rural life! Think the movie, book, dinner ideas sound good! She wanted to do the blood drawing at our dr.'s office, where she is comfortable, but they recommended the hospital as better place . . . Thank you for the ideas gals!
