My gram used to have a saying that "it always snows three times on the daffodils." Now, the daffodils are just sprouting here, they haven't even opened yet. But we often get at least a little snow throughout April. Bleah!

It doesn't surprise me any since Saturday is the first day of fishing. I remember going fishing with my brother and could be snowing or it could be 75*s. Atleast the ground has warmed up enough (hopefully) that it won't stick at all!

Carol,
The old superstition is supposed to be 3 snows after the forsythia blooms...well the neighbor's forsythia across the street just bloomed. Image

Last saturday we were suppose to drive to the mountains and go quading(4 wheeling) and we woke up to snow and it was very cold. So we didnt get to go. So this sat we have it planned to go again. So no snow is what i want.

They are mentioning that here too. With that ever so kind - the good thing about snow this time of year is that it doesn't last. Who cares? It's still SNOW!

I've never heard of the superstitions that you guys have mentioned and I've lived in Minnesota for most of my life.
Learning something new every day I guess!
