I heard the peepers last night, it really is spring!! For those who might not know, these are little peeping frogs that generally come out at night. I love them!! Slept with my window open last night just so I could listen.
I was expecting baby chicks... LOL

I couldn't live somewhere without those peepers, such a spring thing for me!

Monday evening I went out to put chicken onthe grill and they were soooooo loud, I went back in the house and got my camera and tried the video mode to see if I could record the sound. If I could figure out how/where to post the video online I would.

I know in a few weeks ours will be so loud they will wake you from a deep sleep
cool! I have a fish pond in my back yard and my bedroom window is right above it. I love hearing the sound of the water (my window has been cracked for weeks even tho its in th low 40's at night). And once it really gets warm, we get frogs, and they like to sit on the rocks at night and they are so neat to hear also.

Cool! Can't wait to hear them here... it's just a little too chilly yet! But the robins ARE out in full force first thing in the morning!

I love the sounds of spring and summer too --- I miss them because I live in an apartment complex at the intersection of two highways. All I hear at night is road noise. My goal is to eventually move closer to the water. Not necessarily ON the lake (too expensive) but near enough to hear the water at night would make me happy. That's one of the things that I miss most about growing up...we were across the street from a lake so you could hear the waves at night.
