OK. Got the Bamboo Fun yesterday and installed it this morning. I see how the pen is used in place of the mouse, but I want to write and draw and nothing happens. I thought you could actually write your emails, etc. WTH am I doing wrong? Any ideas?

have you checked the website? http://www.wacom.com/bambootablet/bamboofun.cfm I'm not much help, I don't know much about this tablet other than it looks cool.
You could send it to me and I can figure it out for ya
Probably a dumb question, but did you install the software that came with it?
Also, it's my understanding that you can't type emails with it. You can use it to doodle or free-hand draw in a graphics program. Yes you can write your name with the pen, but unless you have software that converts handwriting to typed words, I don't think it can do what you were thinking it could do.

I have the intuos 3 by Wacom. it's my understanding that the bamboo is just a less expensive version. So maybe I can help you. First you have to install the software as Kim said then you need to be in a photo editing program like Photoshop, Elements or something else like that. Once you have a canvas or project opened you would click on your pen tool and then you should be able to had write on your canvas for photo. As for as the emails go I don't think you can not actually write in any other program except a graphics one to my knowledge. I used it to handwrite on an invite I did. I'll show you. just give me a minute.I wrote the top part of the invite on the notebook paper, with my pen, I'm not very smooth with it yet but I'm learning.Hope this help, let me know if you have anymore questions.

Ronny! Thanks so much for the info. The part I neglected was choosing the pen tool. DUH! I'm having a bit of fun with it now. Thanks so much.BTW - I don't see how I can write emails either, unless I wrote them out in Word and then attached. Too much trouble for me.
