We are supposed to get between 6 and 8 inches starting later tomorrow and through Sunday. They also say there will be some freezing rain before the snow falls. I am staying in this weekend and baking and making candies.Everyone stay safe and warm.

Across The ABC-13 Viewing Area - The National Weather Service (website - news) in Blacksburg has issued an Ice Storm Warning for much of the ABC 13 Viewing Area in effect from Noon Saturday to 9:00 am Sunday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
One quarter to one half inch of ice is expected... with the most ice along the higher elevations of these counties... along with the southern edge of the Shenandoah Valley.
An Ice Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of ice accumulations will make travel dangerous or impossible. Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Ice accumulations and winds will likely lead to snapped power lines and falling tree branches that add to the danger.
