It looks way cool in the video, but I'm looking for some feedback from anybody here who's used it. What do you think? Did you use plain or textured? What texture? If you inked it, did it soak in or sit on top?Jr
See, I can't see the point in that stuff... what 'cha gonna do with it?
I touched it! hehe! It seems porous. It has a weird feel to it. I can't think of a word to describe it. Looks cool though.
I got some in the mail a couple of days ago. It's part of a DT kit so I'll be using it soon. I'll be sure to upload when I do! I think it's pretty cool myself!
I got mine but haven't used it yet. I will post my photos as soon as I do.
Me wantee! Tim Holtz has a video of it...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gODmW_qULL8
I thought it looked way cool! Cant wait to get some...grundgeboard
Not sure if it matters to any of y'all...but this stuff isn't acid free. Doesn't matter to me, but thought I'd throw that out there.
I am hoping to play with mine today. Except dh is home. If he thinks I am entertaining him, he has another thought coming.
LOL Pam! I hate when dh is home on "my time"...nothing gets done!I haven't tried it yet...someone's going to have to sell me on it!
Moody, thanks for the video link- now i have to have it!
Ok, I have it AND have used it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff! First, it smells WONDERFUL! Like a "Finklesteins" (leather store), it smells very leathery. ITs uber flexible and very embossed. I don't have a pic today, but will take one today for a piece I used (a heart). The embossing does not deboss itself, it stands up very well. For the heart, I wanted a 2 tone effect. I used the lighter color (red) and smushed it into the chipboard to ink it, than used my darker color (brown) and lightly swiped the top to color just the embossed part. Very cool!I also like the "elements" pack, it has lots of cool shapes, skulls, keys, locks, flourishes etc, a LOT of stuff!
Mine is on the way! I got the plain elements and the texture hammer so I can grunge it up however I want. Should arrive on Thursday. After reading Cec's description, I think the first thing I'll do is sniff it!

I was wondering about it too. Thanks for posting the info. I'm curious as to why it's not acid free, since it's made for scrapping. How weird they'd do that. (I don't really care for myself either, I just know others are very particular about that)
Tim Holtz doesn't claim to be a "scrapper"....he's more about altering items. So he makes his products for altering projects...not really scrapbooking. So that explains why it's not acid free. However, I do see where he would sell more IF it WAS acid free, but oh well...whatever. I think it's a cool product and can't wait to play with some!
Have any of you checked out his blog. He's got some very cool, very time cosuming tags going on for Christmas! They look absolutely AMAZING though! I thought it really gave some great ideas of what you could do with the grunge board.http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/
I can't wait to see someone's finished products! I've had my eye on this stuff for awhile.
DD just bought some. I love the feel of it and can't wait to get some myself.
