I have an appointment this afternoon and I have been thinking about it non-stop since yesterday.I go through this every six months. Nothing bad has ever happened at this dentist. They are actually so nice and gentle.I'd rather go to the OB. That's how bad my dread is.Am I the only one??

Well when you compare it to the ob... YIKES....  I actually like how my teeth feel after a cleaning so I don't mind that... Anyother procedure and I'm freakin out right after the appointment is made

I'm the exact opposite! As a child, I LOVED going to the dentist instead of the doctor's office!

No, my dentist is very handsome. I don't mind visiting him anytime. But here I am today very nervous since I haven't heard back from dh yet.  He took my 7 year old dd to the orthodontist to get her expanders put in. This is nerve racking.

I am terrified - even though I love the dentist and his hygenists (sp?) - they treat me wonderfully. But I hate it.  A phobia really.

not anymore, since we changed dentists.  I even have had very painful work done, and still don't mind.I don't mind the ob, either.

I am the same way. I hate the sound of teeth...yuck! yuck! yuck! I'm so going to suck at the loose tooth stage with Jaxon. Makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it.Good luck today!

HOw funny! I had a dental appointment this week and I hate the dentist even though I haven't had bad experiences there. I also had an OB appointment and don't mind that even though I HAVE had bad experiences there. How much of a freak am I? lol

I'm terrified of the dentist  .    Have been for forever and it works to my severe disadvantage!!!!  Since I'm so stinkin' scared to go, I don't.....until I have a problem that I just can't ignore anymore.  I keep telling dh that I need to find a dentist that will knock me out...do everything at once & agree to knock me out even for a cleaning!!!!  I have issues here....

Yes, I had a bad experience when I was little.  I hate going and avoid it as much as possible and even beyond that!!!!  But I know I have to go this coming year and I probably will need to have dentures!!!!

I never go. Luckily I seem to have good oral health! Last visit was a cleaning right after I had Xander in 2003.

I love my Dentist! Dr Bloom rocks! If you are a Marylander, he's the best! And soooooooooooo nice!

i've an uncle for a dentist, a cousin who's a dentist, her sister a pharmacist (to get the prescription from) and my mom was the x-ray tech at their office... so, LOL, guess it couldn't be avoided!my dh hates it though, but my kids are not terrified at all... plus when we saw a specialist for one of them, he was such a cutie "i" didn't mind going to their appts!
